Each year about 160 girls (9th graders) from rural parts of India will spend one week at IIT Bombay attending the WiSE workshop. They will interact with professional women role models from various disciplines. Each student will go through exciting hands-on BMP (Break-Make-Program it) experiences using the kits developed in our lab. The girls and accompanying women teachers, will conduct the WiSE program in their neighbourhood, spreading STEM awareness. Parents will be an integral part of the equation. IITB students will be long-term mentors for the participating girls to continue higher education.
